Puberty question? is it possible for your voice to deepen BEFORE you hit your growth spurt?

I hear like your supposed to hit your growth spurt before your voice deepens... is it possible for your voice to deepen first then you hit your growth spurt? it seems like my voice is deepening a little but im still very short...
